About LagosXchange
Naira rates, sourced and dated. Information only.
Last updated 1 October 2026
What this site is
LagosXchange shows the official exchange rates of the Nigerian naira as published by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN): the dollar, the pound, the euro and the rest of the CBN's daily table. Every figure carries its source and the CBN date it is for, and every page has a converter and recent history.
We built it because most people searching for “dollar to naira today” want one clear, checkable number. We give the official one, say exactly where it came from, and say when it was last updated.
What this site is not
Despite the name, LagosXchange is not an exchange. It is not a bank, a bureau de change, a broker, a money-transfer service or a trading platform, and it is not licensed or regulated as any of those. We do not:
- buy, sell, hold or transfer naira, foreign currency or crypto;
- take deposits or payments of any kind;
- arrange or recommend any dealer, bank or app;
- give financial, investment or tax advice.
If anyone contacts you claiming to trade or hold money for you on behalf of LagosXchange, it is not us.
Where the numbers come from
Official rates come straight from the Central Bank of Nigeria. A clearly labelled mid-market reference comes from ExchangeRate-API. We do not publish street or “parallel market” rates. The methodology page explains the sources, how often we check them, how we validate them and what happens when the CBN cannot be reached.
Disclaimer
LagosXchange publishes exchange-rate information only. We are not a bank, bureau de change, exchange or broker. We do not buy, sell or hold currency or crypto, and nothing here is financial advice. Official rates are from the Central Bank of Nigeria; reference rates from ExchangeRate-API. Rates are indicative and the rate you are offered will differ.
